Alejandro Wolfgang Espigares served on the jury, alongside Inmaculada Dolón and Enrique Martín, at the 31st Torrevieja International Youth Habanera Competition. Five choirs took part in this year’s competition: Coro Entreolivos from Sevilla, Escolanía del Conservatorio Oficial “Hermanos Berzosa” from Cáceres, Pequeñas Voces de la Alhambra from Granada, Cor Vivaldi from Barcelona and Coro Axunqueira from Pontevedra.
First prize was awarded to Pequeñas Voces de la Alhambra, whilst second and third prizes went to Cor Vivaldi and Escolanía del Conservatorio Oficial “Hermanos Berzosa”, respectively. All the participating choirs demonstrated an exceptional artistic standard, reflecting the promising future of choral music.
